A wonderful resource here on the east coast, is the Cape Fear Weddings website. This is the perfect place to go to if you're a bride looking for vendors in the area or need help keeping track of your planning timeline. You can register for free and have access to all the website's resources. They also publish a book twice a year for you to have free of charge. You can find them at locatins throughout the area.

Also, another important thing from Cape Fear Wedding is the upcoming Bridal Show! It will be held this weekend, November 1st, from 12pm-3pm at the Schwartz Center downtown. Cherry Productions will have a booth there so come by and say "hello"! We will be running a special promotion at the show: for any bride who signs up for a free consultation at the show, they receive a 10% discount on any booked package! So take advantage of this great offer!

Hello Hollywood!

Carla Cherry, owner, has officially opened the office in Los Angeles. She is having a ball rubbing elbows with other LA wedding professionals and meeting westcoast couples! Dana Laymon is now at the helm in Wilmington , managing Cherry Productions' east coast operations. Go Dana!

We have hit the ground running in Los Angeles. Carla is meeting a lot of very interesting people and doing some fun charity work too. She just shot a piece for www.womenofthegreengeneration.com. Go green!

She's also had the distinct pleasure to work as a key camera operator on "Jump for the Cause" documentary. 181 women sky divers, from 31 different countries, jumped out of 9 planes, at once all dressed in pink. They broke the world record for # of sky divers in formation, in the air at once! Carla shot from the ground! It was amazing!

All proceeds go to Breast cancer awareness, prevention and curing!! Check it out here: www.jumpforthecause.com.

Marcia & Joe's Wedding

Nothing better than a romantic wedding on the river and that's just what Marcia & Joe's was. The whole event was so smooth and effortless. You could see how excited Marcia and were to finally be husband and wife. The pictures from this wedding are some of my favorite.

Katie's Bridal Portrait

Katie was so much fun and what was even cuter was her little dog who tagged along! Of course we had to get some shots with him. We're so excited for her and Brent's upcoming wedding in Chapel Hill!

Leslie & Robert's Engagement Session

Leslie and Robert came into town for their engagement pictures and even the rain wouldn't stop us! But it sure did make for some great pictures. From this point on the beach, we could see the storm roll in and we took full advantage of it. Stay tuned for their wedding at the end of the month!

Wendy & Clay's Wedding

Talk about beautiful! This couple was so classic and had such a great American style. All the details were perfect and we enjoyed shooting this wedding so much- made our jobs so easy! I couldn't decide which pictures to post because there were so many good ones.

Tonya & Tom's Wedding

This wedding was just good southern fun with a bunch of guests from the north! Tonya & Tom had their ceremony at Hugh MacRae park and it sure was hot but it was beautiful! It was complete with a release of butterflies at the end. Then all the guests were shuttled by the Wilmington Trolley to Carolina Beach for a nice reception on the beach. Great band, food, and sunset ended an amazing night.
